One of our most recent work parties included installing speakers high above the congregation, just in front of the raised dais. This follows a test period when we had a rather Heath Robinson contraption, which proved the point that this positioning worked effectively. 'Engineers' from age 12 up helped to get the new speakers into place and to wire them in high in the roof space.
