Finding ways to serve

It takes a lot of pairs of hands - and willing hearts - to keep Holy Trinity moving forward. If you're a member of the congregation who has been wondering how you might be able to contribute, we can assure you that you don't need to be very skilled (otherwise we wouldn't be doing it, either!) because full training can be given. It's a great way to get to know people and to serve God and His church.

And if you've got skills or ideas in areas not mentioned here, please come forward!

Serving tea & coffee Help facilitate fellowship! The coffee is fresh and fairtrade, and the good news is that we've got an industrial-grade dishwasher. Helping out behind the hatch after the 9:00am or 10:30 am service is by rota. Email Cathie Rutter via the church office or call 690930.

Music group If you love singing, or play an instrument, and want to be part of a committed, forward-looking group of musicians, then come along.   Email Jane Foster or call 640205.

Banner-making
group
An inspirational way to support worship at every service:why not join us?   Email Joan Bridge or call 601977.

Sidespersons   From handing out notice-sheets to taking up the offering and helping people find a seat, the sidespersons provide an essential service as well as a warm welcome. Easy enough for family groups with children to work together.   Email Cathie Rutter via the church office or call 690930.

Cleaning   Perhaps you have an hour you'd like to spend getting some exercise and a bit of peace & quiet - while keeping our church looking beautiful?   Email John Rutter or call the church office on 690930.

Operating the
projector
Help is always appreciated with operating the multi-media projector at the 10:30 service. If you can keep your wits about you when... then we'd love to hear from you.   Email Richard Neale or call the church office on 690930.

Sound desk You don't need to be technical - full training given.   Email Tim Scholes or call 600633.

Maintenance   From replacing light bulbs and putting up fixtures and fittings to keeping the paths weed-free and the grass down.   Email Michael Montgomery or call 605276.

Work parties Join us on Saturday mornings - we can get so much more done when we work together. All genders, all ages, all abilities!   Email Michael Montgomery or call 605276.

Catering   Davina Scholes runs an amazingly versatile kitchen, catering for regular and special events as well as ensuring the kitchen cupboards are well-stocked. If the kitchen's your thing, please come and join her team!   Contact Davina by email or call 600633.

Flowers   If you can say it with flowers and foliage, please do help out with flowers at regular services as well as special events.   Contact Hannah Walpole.

Reading   If you don't go pale at the thought of pronouncing Machpelah, Berechiah or Nebuzaradan out loud in front of 200 people, you're not like anyone else on the readers team, but we'd love to have you anyway.   Email Cathie Rutter via the church office or call 690930.

Welcome Group   Help make sure there's always a smile and a helping hand on the doors before the service.   Email the church office or call 690930.

Prayer chain   Pass on the prayers.   Contact Ann Sture on 635375.
