We are an Anglican church (Church of England) with a modern style of worship.
We're in the centre of Ripon (population 16,000), in the Diocese of Ripon and Leeds.
Our congregation numbers around 200. A third of us are under 18.
We have 3 services on a Sunday, 1 on a Thursday. The main Sunday service is at 10:30am.
Bible: NIV.
Music: drumkit, keyboard, guitars, trumpet, etc.
Hymnbook: none - we use an overhead projector for song words.
We have a great staff supported by plenty of retired clergy, readers and people heading towards ordination. |

Everyone: Why not try one of our services? You won't be forced to come back, but we hope you'll want to. No one cares if little children make a noise, but there's a creche (and several young people's groups) at the 10:30 service if you prefer.
Baby/toddler groups: Little Fishes on a Monday morning & Wednesday afternoon - 75% of us are not congregation members.
Teenagers: Try the Skaters' Drop-In on a Monday night.
Men: An active men's group with dinners at church (47 chaps came to last one), social events and an annual weekend away.
More mature? We offer regular activities for the 'more mature' (50+!)
Anyone: Come along to our very popular Thursday lunches - from just £1 for soup and a roll to £4 for a four-course lunch plus coffee! All welcome.
Anyone: Join our African drumming troupe, every second Tuesday evening. No experience required, all ages welcome, drums provided!
Anyone: male or female, very young or quite creaky, why not play cricket with us? We have several members who don't attend church. |
