Loads of passion, loads of talent, loads of worship... that's TYB!
TYB (Trinity Youth Band) was set up in 2002 as a way for our young people to use and share their amazing gifts in worship.
Their first concert in July 2003 was the band's own idea, in response to the Ethiopian appeal. Donations were invited - resulting in £500 given in just one evening.
Gradually, TYB has become part of the once-a-month all-age worship service (1st Sundays), leading the music for the whole church. This is an important ministry which the young people are able to offer as members of the body of Christ.
Over the past 5 years, membership of the band had evolved: some original members have left, while others, who have been waiting in the wings, have joined. There is no fixed membership, all those young people of secondary age, who love music and want to express their love for God through music, are welcomed. Some of the original members now 'mentor' and encourage the gifts of the younger members, developing their own gifts of encouragement.
Adrian's leadership has been inspirational, not only in terms of his own musical gifts, but also the skill in which leads: quietly, unassuming and always encouraging. He simply sees his role as 'removing obstacles'!
