| Activity day - October 2007 |

Our 50-90s club for the 'more mature' enjoyed an activity day - safely indoors, this time!
Everyone was greeted with tea and coffee at 10.30am, moving straight into Armchair Aerobics (not an armchair in sight!) with Ruby, which everyone found great fun before Richard Neale gave a talk about railways, accompanied by some excellent slides.
Sherry or orange juice was then served before everyone sat down to a delicious lunch of beef casserole followed by either rice pudding or cheese and biscuits. There were a lot of comments as to how nice it was to have a lovely home-made rice pudding, "Like we used to make".
After the meal we had more tea and coffee before everyone decided which activity they would like to do during the afternoon. Some people did a bit more on the tapestry started during Liquid Worship; most decided they would join Peter Hitching, who had bought along his computer, for a look at ancestry. This was the second time Peter has done this and it is something that everyone really enjoys.
The day ended with... yes! More tea and coffee, plus cake, at around 3.30pm. |
