Mission Sunday - January '06

The service on 8th January included a talk from a representative from the Cathedral of St Andrew in Asunción, Paraguay - one of the overseas churches which benefits from our tithe fund. We were able to present her with a cheque for £15,000 for ongoing building work there, which is essential in able for the congregation to be able to worship there again.

Afterwards, many of us joined her for lunch in The Arches, where she was able to talk personally those with a particular interestm and show a display of the work being done in Asunción. Since this was our annual Mission Sunday, there were also displays about all of the other people, projects and churches we have supported overseas in the last year.
