"During July 2005, 7 students and 3 adults started out on a journey of a lifetime to Blantyre, Malawi.
"The mission was for us to make contact with one of the tithe projects while helping to finish Trinity House for Doctor Banza and his family. We also wanted to understand more about the CURE International hospital and how it works in the community.
"We really had an amazing time working on Trinity House; digging, painting and attempting to bricklay, while we also visited the staff and children at CURE in our spare time. We thoroughly enjoyed this as it was our chance to do something for other people.
"As well as the building work, we took part in some missionary work at a rural village near Mulanji Massif, where we had to entertain over 200 children all morning while David Mann spoke to other pastors and adults in the local area. During that day we all had individual experiences which will stay with us for a lifetime. Even though we worked really hard, we did enjoy a safari and a couple of days' rest while enjoying the Malawian views and sunsets before we headed home.
"It was truly a moving journey that none of us will ever forget." |
