| St John's annual summer fete, to raise funds for running costs, took place on Saturday 1st July and was well-attended by Holy Trinity members as well as Bondgate's.
The usual marquee (in case of wet weather) was hardly needed - thanks to the heatwave - and the bouncy castle for children (and John Rutter) kept everyone even sweatier.
There was also a tombola, a cake stall, a bookstall, and a bric a brac stall. Tea and coffee were served as part of the entrance fee of 50p for adults.
This event follwed a party the evening before, given by the trustees, to mark the retirement from St John's of Rev John Langdon. |
